Love Croissants | Our Story
From farmers market to Houston favorite
Chef Omar Pereney launched Love Croissants at Houston's Urban Harvest Farmers Market in 2022 with one obsession: making the best croissant the city had ever tasted.
The beginning at the market
Omar started small, selling croissants at Urban Harvest Farmers Market with a singular mission: to prove that Houston deserved world-class pastries. Every croissant was made by hand, with intention, and people noticed.
The four-hour standard
After four hours, a croissant is just bread — so every batch uses Beurremont 82% butter from Normandy and Valrhona chocolate, then leaves the kitchen only at its peak.
A home in Midtown
Love Croissants found a permanent home inside Weights + Measures in Midtown, where customers lined up for butter croissants, pain au chocolat, and pistachio brownie bombs — all made with the same obsessive care.
National recognition arrived
The Infatuation named Love Croissants among the 14 best croissants in America. Eater Houston, Houston Food Finder, and CultureMap followed — but Omar's focus never left the dough.
Growing with Houston
Today, Love Croissants supplies over 60 Houston coffee shops and restaurants through wholesale, with a new flagship location in the Heights opening late 2025. Same butter. Same four-hour standard. Same love—just reaching more tables across the city.
